Hi Folks. I noticed on mine that there is a coolant hose coming from the upper rad hose down the driver's side of the engine to something that I don't know what it is. What is this, a warmup bypass, an oil cooler, or what?
Also, I have the class III/IV towing package. Does it include an engine oil cooler? Just wondering because the filter is on a 90 degree adapter, and I can't see back there to know if there is a water to oil cooler. I know some police cars have them, and also Explorers with the 4.0L V6 and heavy towing package. If it doesn't have it would it be a good idea to install one? What's the part number for the coolant/oil cooler in police cars and Explorers with the towing package? Thanks!
