Ive made up my mind and im gonna be swaping my T-18 to a C6 auto...But i need to know what all is involved, Do i have to modify the Driveshaft?? Do i have to modify or find a replacement crossmember?? or will the same crossmember work for both?? Would i need to find a way to cool it??.....Im just wanting the basic rundown of the work that i need to do, and the parts i need
I have a hurst shifter, and ill be getting a C6 ASAP, along with a torque converter and flex plate....What other parts would i need???
You will need a shorter driveshaft more than likely, would need a radiator with a tranny cooler built in it, different crossmember, elminate the clutch, etc.
I'd say find a complete donor truck and buy it so you can have the new brake pedal assembly, radiator, crossmember, etc, then just swap it all over.

Well, I can get the radiator, crossmember, and driveshaft from local salvage yards, I dont think i need to buy a whole truck...And i can just use the "dead" clutch pedal to start the truck, so i wont need a whole new pedal assembly...So, Is there any more parts that you think i might need?
i wouldnt worry about something like that. its about like going and doing a 4 wheel drive conversion when you gotta find a GOOD radiator with tranny cooler and fix the pedals and stuff. wouldnt the C6 be shifting on the column?
