is it a bolt holding it together thats got you, or somthing else? i cant think of what mine looks like right now, can the box slide straight down? i think its rivented on there, so just cut the rivets, and replace with grade 8 hardware.

I did mine on the side of a hill in the woods when the pitman shaft broke. Just loosen the set screw that holds the shaft in the box, make sure you have the bolts out that hold it to the frame and it should slide down and off. pretty straight forward, not really anything else to get hung up on. Good luck.

Got it out and the new one in, it was the clamp holding the shaft to the input of the box, had to pull the bolt completely out so that I could wedge the clamp open enough to remove the box...
Lucky me gets to do it again too I put the shaft back together and didn't check the allignment of the steering wheel and it's off by an eighth of a turn.
