Well since you asked, here it goes. Just a little friendly advice.

As you describe it I would say no. At least I wouldn't buy it for the purpose you describe. First a 460 is a gas hog. It will suck your wallet dry. Not the best choice for a daily driver doing 35,000 miles a year IMO. Second, the truck has 260,000 miles on it already. Is that the actual miles on the engine and trans? Has either ever been rebuilt? The fact that it is leaking oil probably means that it's a high mileage engine. Could be worn out or close to it. Any blue smoke comming out the tail pipes? Do you have the time, tools, money and skills to repair as necessary, as I'm sure you will need them if this is indeed the orginal miles on the running gear. Don't forget the drive train, front end, and brakes. Are you going to use this truck for work i.e. hauling, towing, or just transportation? I would think you would want something you could depend on in either case, especialy since your lively hood depends on it. Third, $2,500. Take a good hard look at it. I would look around for other trucks that might be in better condition. If I were looking for a project truck, maybe. But for something I needed to depend on every day to use for or get to work, I would pass and look for something better.

But the choice is yours. Good luck.
