Steering Column
I was wondering if there was any way to get a different steering column from a new type of truck to put in my 78 Ford F 150 with a automatic trans, on the column. thanks for the help.

I don't think anything else will just bolt & plug in. If you are good at fabrication and wiring systems anything can be made to work.

Steering Column
The shifter is broken off, I have a replacement but i was wondering if there was one out of something else that would work.

Shift collar's are replaced all the time on this trucks.
A visit to the wrecker and a few hours restoring and installing is all it takes.
Some of us even have tilt columns available.
Look through the classifieds if you's rather go that way.
