need headers!
hi
i'm looking for a set of new or used headers. the only ones i found are for $384.99(supercomp's). are there any others for a 1978 f150 460 4x4 conversion. if any of you guys have any could you let me know, thanks for your time.

First, I'd try posting in the classifieds here. Someone may have what you're looking for.
Second, look at L&L. I know they make a set, but they're not cheap. I remember them being around $600 (which is why I don't have them).
I have the same truck as you and would love to get headers, so if you find another source, please let me know.

l and l headers are around 400 for fenderwell exit, or chassis exit, both are nickel plated with half inch flanges, so they wont rust or leak, they have a limited lifetime warranty also, i love mine

I have a set of L&L fender exit headers on my 77.5 F250. They are well built, and fit very well. However, I think I need to loose these and get a set of chassis exit headers for a couple of reasons. One is that I loose ground clearance because of the exaust, the other is that future suspension modifications will cause the fender exit headers to be banged up during wheeling use. If you can wait a few months, I will be selling my headers for a fairly cheap price to finance the new ones. The headers are about 8 mo's old right now, and have about 500 mi. on them. The average price for these headers on the internet are about $400. They are coated with an industrial nickel plating. (L&L charges about $60 more than other places for their own headers, FYI)
