97 disk brakes

I have a 97 F-350 that I am trying to get the front disk brake rotors off of. How do they come off? I have the wheel off and the caliper, but the rotor won't loosen. Is their something that needs to come apart in the hub or something else that needs to be loosened. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

yes there is a hub nut that holds the rotor on the spindle ..... its the one that you adjust your wheel bearings with .... pretty straight forward job just make sure that you have a clean place to put the bearings when they come out like some wax paper or a clean towel ..... 2WD's are a bit easier because you dont have to remove the manual/auto hubs to do it but that isnt really that bad either... just make sure you dont over tighten the wheel bearings when you reinstall the new or remachined rotors ... you will probably also need a special socket to remove the hub nut which can normally be rented from checker or one of those places and you should probably check or replace the grease seal on back of the rotor too anyhow hope this helps ...
