i am trying to find the socket that pulls the nut off my 80 f250 w/ dana 50 ttb manual hub to service my front wheel bearings. i have been to all the local parts store and they have bunches of them but not for my application. it has to be 4 point. i have tried the 4 pt 1/2 ton 3/4 ton and needs to be slightly larger. they have a 3/4 ton 1 ton but only in 6 point everywhere i go. do any of you know of an online store that sells these?
Kragen has them. I just bought one to install the newer style spindle nuts (no more bending tabs) that have 4 points on my D60, but they should be the same for your D50. It socket is about $25 I could probably get you a part number incase they dont have it in stock.
The old Dana60 spindle nuts were six point, the newer style with a lock ring were four point.
