Re-re-calibrating Speedometer
Previous owner of this truck put these horribly oversized 315 tires on the truck. When these finally wear out I'm going to drop down to 285. My problem is...this whole time I was thinking my speedometer was way off due to the larger tires. But last night I found out that it is perfectly accurate, which means the previous owner re-calibrated the speedo. So for me to get an accurate speedometer reading, I will have to "re-re-calibrate". So what my question is...how do I found out how the guy calibrated in the first place? Could it have been done by changing out the VSS gear (do these even have a VSS gear)? Or was the computer flashed with a different speed calculation?
