a survey I'm doing

This is just a survey I'm doing.

When you read, do you ever do anything else too? Like eating, snacking...

Depends on where I am, and how I feel.
Maybe, I'll drink a glass of iced tea, or eat an apple. Sometimes, I've read a book while eating dinner! (Which is more important. . . . dinner, or the book?)

Popcorn (sprinkled with Old Bay) is good with a good book.

Depends on what I'm reading. If I'm into the book or reading the Bible I only read.Otherwise I'll watch tv or mess with some other things while reading.I have a big problem with drawing in my text books.Get that from mom, even though she hates to admit it.lol

I generally eat more when I read than when I eat dinner and breakfast combined. I gave up on reading at dinner after I kept spilling spagetti on my book

LOL! I usually watch TV and read at the same time. I have discovered that you can learn things twice as fast when doing this...

No, I don't do anything while I read. Sometimes I'll scratch myself but that is about it. When I was a kid I was eating a hot dog and dropped a dob of mustard on page 221 of a book on Joan of Arc. The stain is still there. I learned my lesson.

Nothing wrong with multi-tasking! If I'm really absorbed reading a great book, I would continue reading it all day through my lunch as well as dinner...and perhaps in between snacks too. But, when I do this, my focus is the book, not the meals/snacks!!

One must support the system when researching - therefore feed thyself, my daughter/son - else thou shalt wither and die before reaching the end of the "Fellowship of the Ring" trilogy... (+ "the Hobbit" and referring to the "Silmarillon")

Rolled Tacos with guacamole are wonderful in this effort!!!

(Pretzels and mustard will do)

That's a real tough one! Do you have two heads or two brains to multiplex two intense streams of info?! LOL!!

Funny that no one has mentioned reading in the bathroom.

Well, sometimes I read the poetry on the wall of the library bathroom wall. Things like "Here I sit broken hearted" and other cool stuff like that, you know. Of course I'm often confused about what most of it means so I guess I'm not very good with words of wit and, em, stuff.

That's where MOST of my reading takes place...I keep a stack of 5.0, MM&FF, 4W&OR, etc. handy.
