I just got a '57 F100, with a 223, and I can't seem to find any info on the air cleaner. It's mounted vertical not horizontal. Is this original? I looked through '57 & '58 galleries here and couldn't find a picture of one. Anybody know about it?
Of course we care! I am not sure what you have for an air cleaner - looks like something off a van or even a cab-over. There is no reason it will not work, providing it takes a dry type filter.
My air cleaner is an oil bath, and would never work on its side (oil would all run out!)
For what ever reason it seems that the Vertical Mounted Aire Filter Cover used on the Sedans & Stationwagons, was used on Panel Trucks as well, @ least so far as my research has found.
Thank'ee for the Heads-up on the Pix in your Gallery.
