2000 Ranger locking problems
I have a problem with power locks in my car. The doors unlock perfectly whether by a remote control or by pushing a button inside, but will not lock. Pushing any of the “Lock” buttons inside also produces no result. What is the matter? Btw I am in the lookout for some nice looking floor mats, any recommendations please?

Inspect the loom located at the door hinge. Seems like there is broken wire in the wiring loom that goes to the driver’s side door. you can look up some replacement parts on:fastbodyparts.com

Look over the switch contacts and wires leading to the master switch (driver's side). Spray them good with electrical contact cleaner and comprssed air if you have it.
