Anybody know what the this means(27J)???It is the axle code for a 76 F-350.Need to know what gear this is.

27 is a Dana 70 w/4.10 limited slip.It must be a 4X4 to have the J also.Probably a 60 front w/matching 4.10s Id guess.

I don't think ford made a f350--4x4 until 1978--a 76 would have to be an f250-4x4 , although it could have had a d60 front---axle especially if it was equipped with a snow plow option...........fd

BTW, 79 was the first year for F350 4x4.

Thanks for the info Guy's. It is a 76-F-350 2WD Dualie flatbed with a 390 in it.It's not very pretty but I think you could pull a large house with it!!!!!
