Mine is stock more because I have decided not to spend the money to do it yet. When I do, I plan on doing a tuner and pipes. Probably 4" from Turbo back. Not sure of the tuner yet but I like the Edge (I think) because it has the EGT and Boost right on the display. I like gauges but do not want to loose the A-pillar handle. I thought about cutting into the valance panel below the dash pod but decided that would be a lot of work and maybe not worth it.
Stock. Don't personally see a need to fly any higher or faster. She does all I ask. Some day, maybe I'll grow up and buy some big boy pants and get a tuner. For now, I'm happy just to be drivin my 05 Super Duty CC PSD.
Stock except for muffler delete pipe. Runs like a champ. I am still contemplating getting a programmer or module for fuel effciency increase. I get 19.5 unloaded at 70 mph but I am greedy.
i dont want to mod the truck for more power/lower temps and then have it in the shop, they refuse warranty work on it because it has a SCMT on it... stock for me. however my personal 7.3 is just beginning to give me psdmoditis
I have been running the Predator on the 65hp setting for 30,000 miles now. No problems, knock on wood. Cruises and tow's like a dream! Couldn't be more happy!
I have the Bully Dog Power Hound, custom made 4" inlet for the K&N ( 7"x 9"x 4" ) filter with the stock muffler eliminated ( still have the cat ) and stock "CHOKE" downpipe.
The power output from stock (235) has been UNREAL! My temps according to the factory gauges never increased from the stock to the modified state of tune. Very happy with the monster I have created, but still suffer from some of the stock 6.0 maladies...
I had really bad experiences (along with others) over on the Cummins side when I added an Edge box. Not a knock on Edge but I learned my lesson the hard way and I mean hard way in regard to diesel hop-ups. For a $500 50hp gain in performance it cost me probably close to $9,000 over the next 2 years. Now that I have a Ford I can clearly see the exact same trend on this side of the house in regard to people tearing up expensive components when tied to mods.
To each his own but I personally cannot tolerate the probable financial pain that eventually comes to most folks with mods. My new philosophy is if over 300 stock hp and over 500lbs of stock torque can't get you satisfaction than maybe it's time to look at a medium duty truck for the application.
