Mirror swap-out?

Hello,

I have an '02 F250 PSD with factory towing mirrors. I'm interested in swapping them with a set that has the turn signal indicators which are on the '04 and later models (I believe). The parts department at my local Ford dealership were not too helpful and said the later model mirrors wouldn't work. I've seen postings here that seem to indicate otherwise. Can this swap be done without a lot of modification?

Thanks!

Yep, it's easy. Physically they are a bolt in swap, and there's only some minor wiring that needs to be done to get the lights and heaters working.

yeah, The price is going down a bit on new ones, I hace the small stock 99 ones on my truck and I like the towing mirrors, but I have limited funds right now so a used set would be better for me

the newer ones are also heated thats nice when youre plowing/driving in the rain, when water/snow hits it, it will sizzle and steam away. its surprising how hot the actual mirror gets! its very handy to have a perfectly clear mirror to see when backing/changing lanes.
