Hub Ratcheting

ive searched and searched to no avail when im driving down the road my hubs partialy engage if i put in in 4x4 it stop but after a while in 2wd it does it again

my dads truck does the same thing we replaced his auto hubs two years ago because they wernt working and it was fine then one day it started mine started out of the blue as well

any one have similar problems and how did you fix it i have had the hubs apart they are fine and lubed properly i just dont get it

any help would be appreciated

Sounds like you hubs are binding or note releasing. I went with aftermarket warns hubs that were a bit more accessible for maintenance. You might try taking your hubs off and soaking them in WD 40.

I also had a hub bearing go that partially engaged by passenger side front hub on my 2000 F250.

no one else has had a problem with this???

i have two trucks that are doing it

one of my hubs on my 04 were clicking when I first bought it ... it turned out that the hub was left inbetween lock and auto.... just had to click it back into auto and never had a problem again...
