gas mileage

what kind of milage can I expect with a F-150 xlt crew cab with a 5.4??

I might be getting one, if I can save on gas over what I get with my excursion.

I'd do a search in this forum. There has been a lot of discussion regarding gas mileage and ways to improve. My general impression has been getting 12-14 mpg in the city and 17-20 mpg on the highway.

I get a pretty consistent 16.25-16.75 in the city and right at 18 on the highway. 5.4 super crew 4x4 3.55

it would be like going from a f-250 to a f-150 would it not? you will get better gas milage not a lot but better go with the smaller engine f-150 if you can

Our first tank averaged 13.8, but that was in town stop and go, and a little driving out on the black top highways. It has 500 miles on it, so I expect it will improve when it gets some more break in miles. My 2000 F-150 4WD gets 18 when you keep it under 65. I can live with that.
