Anyone install those airhorns that do not use a tank? How well do they work? I assume you have to hold the button for a bit before it sounds. Any problems with burning out the relay since you will be keeping the circuit closed a lot longer than normal? Thanks.
I had a cheap plastic dual setup on my 78 Olds Starfire and you won't notice any delay as the compressor spins up extremely fast. They are obviously much higher pitched than a semi horn but they'll scare the crap out of anyone in front of ya. My uncle has them on his dune buggy too and they sure command attention.
I loved mine until one time the horn button stuck and I had to get into the engine compartment to disconnect them, while the horns were blaring!
Make sure you mount them so that they don't pick up dirt and bugs and so forth. I mounted mine pointing straight down.
