After getting on the gas hard, if I stop my Bronco shortly after, smoke comes from under, around, and behind the engine. It is gray smoke. I understand that this could be blow by from worn out rings. My question then is, if I had worn out rings or other internal engine damage, wouldn't my Bronco have considerable power loss?
Either my oil pan gasket or real main seal is leaking and there is some oil leaking on the exhaust. Could this be the problem? If so why would it only happen under hard throttle circumstances?
Also, could it be a worn out PCV valve putting oil back into my engine only to burn it right back out? (read about this on the Bronco FAQ page)
check your head gaskets for leaks. your rear main should not be putting oil on your exhaust. if you have blow by that sever it is time for an engine rebuild.

The car seems to have excellent power. Nonetheless, could I still have substantial damage and just not notice it through engine power? Also, if cylinder compression is up to snuff, would that rule out worn out rings or other internal damage??

i would imagine you have leaking valve covers that is then dripping onto the manifolds to create the grey smoke you speak of. if the rings were worn to this extent then you would notice a loss in power but your not so im thinking otherwise.
go to a car spray place and degrees your engine real good. then drive around to track down the leaking oil.
