can't find reverse on '15

working on a friends '15 delivery wagon built on a T chassis and I cant find reverse.

I can get 1st gear with the floor lever forward and the left pedal pressed, and 2nd gear by letting up on the pedal.

I get neutral with the floor lever in the center position and the parking brake with it pulled back.

I get no reverse at all, even with the center pedal pressed and the lever in the forward position.

Am I shifting this thing wrong or does it sound like something more serious, like a broken transmission band?

Can't Find Reverse

If you can't get reverse with the center pedal, then you may have a serious problem, if you continue to try. If the band has let go it may plug the oil line and finally cook your engine.
Take the top off the trans cover located under the floor board and do a visual to see it there is any loose cotton, or other fabric inside. You can access this by removing the floor board, and there is a plate held on with 4 screws. Remove these and put them far enough away from the opening that they don't accidently fall in. If they do then you will have to remove the engine to retrieve them.
Take a visit to this site as these guys are only into the Model Ts, they have helped me out a great deal, with mine.
I am not trying to take anyone away from this site, just that there is more info at the one I am directing you to.

for reverse in a t model, you need to have the left pedal held in the center position with the hand brake about half way back.(neutral) and the center pedal down. if you try to run the center pedal down with the hand brake off ( full foward) the trans foward (left) pedal will engage high gear while you are trying to reverse and bind everything up..btw, the far right pedal is the brake.
