Check under the center console insert for the computer. There was a loose ground wire in my 90 that could be plugged into a connector that was all set up for that.

From: Alvin, Texas.
On my 93 Pickup, it was a black and white wire bundle up near the computer, but mine was in the driver's side kick panel.

Undo that center console bundle and you'll find it.

If your bro-in-law has net access, a site I used to frequent was 4x4wire.com (Isuzu trailtalk BBS). Good bunch they are, but some of them were slow to catch on (even with the loss of Isuzu stealerships) that Isuzu was done in the USA. Can't have it all, I suppose.

Isuzu lost it with me when they came out with the new Trooper in 91 or 92. It was all fluff and no go... The 90 was a good vehicle unfortunately the engine went thru three heads before I scrapped it.
