rear axel identification help please

Going nuts - Well already there-

I need to replace the pinion seal and cannot identify what rear axel I have to by the replacement part. The truck is an 1989, F250, with a ZF trans. I cannot read the metal tag as part of it has broken off. The label on the door code say's axel 35

Can someone please point me in the right direction

Thanks
Ken

The axle is a sterling (aka Visteon) 10.25" axle with a 3.55:1 gear ratio, open differential.

Is it a full float or a semi float

Most likely it's the full floater. If your GVWR on the driver's door sticker is 8500 or more, it's the full floater. Lower than 8500 it's the semi floater. You can also look at the axle and tell right away. If you have a large chunk of metal sticking out from the center of the wheel about 6" it's a full floater. A semi float will be flush with the wheel.
