Tranny will not shift from second to drive gaer fluid ok and the o/d light came on and stays on

If you want a better diagnosis, how about giving us more details? What kind of truck, year, engine, trans?

1 Do U Have A Check Eng Light On And How Many Miles On The Truck .have U Ever Changed The Filter And Had A Flush?

yes changed the filter about six months ago and flush it out. and the answer to the light yes i have an O/D flashing and check englight .and ran test on wiring and found shorted wiring to the main valve in the tranny. ty

You need to get the codes retrieved and we need to know which transmission you have, 4R100 or 4R70W. How many miles are on it? Check and see if it will go into 3rd/drive manually by physically shifting the trans from first to second to third/drive with the O/D button turned off.
