just posted pics 11 thru 17 under ''floors and scoops'' had to prove I am doing something other hanging out on FTE ! I just might clear coat this thing and drive it to Knoxville
Tim, Truck is looking fantastic! Its going to be one of those trrucks people stare at for an hour and still don't pick up all the custom touches. Very very nice. Did I hear you say Knoxville? I do plan on going next year with the 52. My frined who has a 56 has been going for years.
Tim-
You seem to do everything I like and then some. I like your ideas at the running boards and will probably be guilty of being a copycat to some degree. Thats a bold move on the dash hump but I have noticed more and more that builders are giving alot of attention to the dash and interior items. Keep it coming! Really enjoy seeing your ideas.
Larry
Tim,
Once again I am in awe of your fabrication skills! Fantastic work! WOW!
I see you took the plunge and whacked the hump from the dash, bold move but its going to really pay off and make for one smooth and streamlined interior.
I'm interested in where you're headed with that dash. I've been playing with the idea of either smoothing out the driver's side to match the passenger side and putting the guages in the flat lower section (but I'm worried about being able to see them with the steering column and wheel in place) or possibly molding in some bullet type pods like used on a 59? Impala...
So I'm interested in where you're headed with your dash......
Sorry about the 9 1/2 thing, it's been so long ago that it's just a joke around our house. As for the dash thing, take a look at the dash in an 05 Mustang or, if you can find one, a Ford GT. Those are/were my inspiration. I have talked to a guy here in Tucson who makes all things in billet for F-100s. He says he can make a 50 inch wide billet panel that will hold tach, speedo, guages, a/c vents etc etc. Right now we are trying to find a place where my champagne taste and my beer budget come together and then we'll know exactly what I'm going to do.
thanks for all the kind words, there's nothing like a little praise from your peers to keep you going, I'll try to live up to my expectations.
Mike, I looked long and hard at the running board thing and the deciding factor is that the truck has to set REALLY low to make it work, I'd be willing to bet that with your top chop and a low enough stance it would be bitchin', go for it!
Randy, I won't tell GOMD that you called her ''the old lady'', that's an off limits term for her although it's ok for her to call me a geezer, old goat etc. There are some things I just don't understand

Tim, your work is just awesome! Makes me wish I could lock up the store, go home and work on Gracie. I spent last weekend finishing up smoothing the lock panel and started in on the radiator support. Removed the X rods and made them so they could be bolted on in front of the air deflectors to give room for the AC condensor. Added on to the radiator mounting plates to match the Walker radiator mount width. I also removed the ridiculously overbuilt and under engineered electric fan mounts, one of the biggest underhood eyesores after the chewed up firewall. One of the worse cooterbobbing on the truck. Before and after pix will be posted when I've finished.
wwooowww!!!!! I AM COMPLETELY JEALOUS!!!!! Can I hire you to work mines...kidding...looks good man and its going to be an awesome ride...keep us posted...
