My alternator is dead on my Bronco and I was wondering if there are any higher amperage alternators on newer trucks that are compatible wth the 78 Bronco. I need higher amperage to run a lightbar for fire runs. If anyone can help I really appreciate it. Thanks
Well, first of all Im looking for anything thats not super expensive. Used would be great for me. 80 amp probably would be the least I would want, but would work. ive got lots of junkyard connections so a newer vehicle is no problem. i just want that little extra so that I know my lightbar and siren and radio will all run simultaneously. So I guess what im saying in short that anything pretty much will work.
any 100 amp rear terminal evr will bolt right on, the amp rating is stamped into the side of the case, look on a early eighties lincoln or mercury with alot of power options, $25 at the wreckers
