7.3 turbo w/manual trans
Today I noticed my serpentine belt tensioner pulley was starting to rub against the tensioner mounting bolt. I stopped by Autozone to inquire about a replacement tensioner and what they showed me did not look like the original. The tension on the replacement unit had a large flat spring wound up controlling it. My original does not seem to have this spring, only a hard rubber center getting forced over. They told me this is the only replacement avail.
Does this sound like the correct unit and does $90 sound right???

You are in the right price range for a new one... I just picked one up off of ebay for my 96.. it was only $21 plus s/h... I was sweating it but it turned out to be a good one.
