I lost the reply. I hope wolfbike reposts.
About a year ago, I developed a popping noise in the back part of the cab. (F-350, 2000, V-10 Crewcab) It is intermittent. Really runs me crazy.
What is crazier is that I found a TSB on the FTE ownership site referring to this. However, it's only a summary. I called Ford and they don't know anything about it. Alldata didn't have it either. Now I go to the FTE site and it's no longer listed.
Anyone have this problem?
I found it on the FTE ownership site about a week ago.
here's the listing:
Bulletin No: 13940
Date of Bulletin: 06/14/2000
Summary Description:
SOME VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH CREW CAB AND BUILT BEFORE 2/25/2000 MAY EXHIBIT A POPPING NOISE FROM THE REAR OF THE CAB WHEN DRIVING OVER UNEVEN SURFACES. *TT
I'll try a couple places at work and see if I can't dig something up. Nothing is gauranted. This service bulletin is pretty old they may not honor it. I think they only have to honnor tsb for the duration of the original warranty period. Maybe the exact tsb could be located to at least find you the solution.
