I was wandering if anybody else has run into this problem I have a 2005 f-250 with tow command and when I hook it up to my 2004 18' landscape trailer the lights work but the brakes dont whenever I hit the brakes the onboard cpu says trailer fault I also have a friend with the same truck and has hooked his up to four different trailers and gets the same thing and all four of them worked before with his old truck and aftermarket brake controller. I know if I take it to the dealer and it winds up being the trailer they are gonna stick it to me so if anybody has run into this before or knows how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it
Thanks

I love mine only had 1 problem. The gain wouldn't add or subtract. The module was replaced. Smooth sailin' ever since. You probaly have a problem since you have hooked up several different trailers. BUT, is your trailer electric brakes? This unit will give you the fault your describing if you hook up to a unit that is electric over hydraulic.
I'd take it in you definately have a problem. They will probaly have to change the module. They have had a few problems with the tow command for about the first four months. The new mudle has an updates software version also. Good luck.
Wing nut is correct on the electric over hydro. Mine has worked fine except for once it said the trailer was unhooked which was wrong. My buddy had the same unhooked warning on his 05. Are you 1,2 or 3 axles?
