proportioning valve

I posted on here a while back about my brakes being messed up, and it was determined that it was the prop valve, and that I had to pull a pin to be able to bleed properly. I was shown a picture of the valve, and it looks nothing like mine. i just got around to pulling it off today, and there is no pin on it. In fact there are only like 4 things I can unscrew on it, besides the bolts holding it together. There are 2 places where the brakes run in and out of it. there is a bleeder valve on the side. Then there is a big screw on the end of it (like a 1 1/2" wrench) I took that off and it exposed a spring pushing on a larger cylinder. Other than that, there is no pin or anything. Can anyone explain what I can do with it? It's gonna need replacing anyways, I took it apart and when bolting the 2 halves back together I cracked it. Maybe It can be replaced with one that I was shown? If not, what is the proper way to fix this? It's an 88 F150. If more info is needed I can explain further, or find the old thread.

Try replacing with an adjustable Proportioning valvle (p/v) which are sold bronco grave yard or buy brake on this forum. Or you can find a new one (p/v) at most automotive parts stores to fit your truck.
