That's going to be a tough one to answer. Lots of Ford 9" swaps and a few more exotic have been done by folks on the forum, but I don't recall any GM rear axles. Anybody done a GM rear axle swap on their effie?

First, welcome to FTE!
I've got a GM rear under mine from a Camaro. I don't know of any GM rears that are a true bolt in, like the later Ford trucks (57-??).
If memory serves (and often it doesn't) the F-body (gen-II) rears are almost the same width as the truck. Mines a 10 bolt posi, but I'm just running a mild motor so I don't foresee any problems. Just had to cut all the mounts off and weld on your own.
I like the 3.08 gears and the rear discs.
