I've been looking for a set of rear captain chairs and reclining third row since we got the "Star" a couple of years ago. I had an eBay search going for Aero seats and finally hit the jackpot a couple of weeks ago.
Two tan captains and the rear bench for $100! And they are all in perfect condition. The only snafu was the seat belt for the passenger captain but I removed the female end of the seat belt connector from the old bench and attached it the same way the driver's side captain chair is set up.
Now that we're back in the US I was finally able to get them...it would have been waaay to expensive to ship overseas.
How do they fit? Is there some kind of plate to put them in place, or did you have to drill through the floor and bolt 'em in?
Dumb question , I know, but I didn't realize those seats were out there for the 'star.
They are plug and play AeroPA. The only mod (depending on what year seats you get) is that you have to mod the seat belt (mini-female end) to fit with the buckets.
Got my 2 rear captain chairs from the junk yard a couple years back. Took them to the detailer to get cleaned up. Looked great!! Other than having a gray interior and the seats being tan, no problem!! Good luck!!
I currently have two captain's seats in the middle row and a seat bed in the third row of my '95. But I just got a pair of captain's seats from Ebay for $31, so I'll replace the third row with those because I only need six seats (wife, 4 kids and myself). That'll take the fighting on long trips to a minimal, I hope
I thought I read that the captains chairs will not fit in place of the third row because of the wheel wells. Tell if it works. I've got two *s with the captains chairs. I could do some swapping if that's the case. I'll have to think about the seat belts though.
I haven't tried putting them in yet, so I don't know about the wheel well. The seat belt should be OK for the driver side. The passenger side is the sticky one. We may need to cannibalize one of the buckles on the bech seat to put on the right hand side of the captain's seat.

I'll let you know how it turns out.
That is what I was thinking too, that in the third row only the drives side bucket would work (barely.) In the future I will probably swap out the rear bench for 1 bucket so my three kids won't fight over who gets stuck sitting on the bench seat. Plus that will leave some more cargo room in the back.

Exactly my reason for doing that. On our trips to Alaska (2 years ago) and Calgary (last July), there was constant fighting on who has to sit on the rear bench seat. I got 4 kids, so I'm 25% worse off than you are
