I've got an 04 CC LB Dually. Am really enjoying it, but she doesn't have a very tight turning radius. U-turns are at best a joke. Am wondering how much better the newer tighter turning radius is on the newer trucks. I've heard the made it a bit shorter. Is it real improvement?
I think around 6 foot better in the CC long bed form. But can't remember off the top of my head.
Someone up in the SuperDuty section will probably know. I shall move the thread there for you
BigF350 sounds about right, I believe it is down to under 50' now. I still have to backup to complete a U-turn a lot of the time. But having said that I find it easier to manuver my 05 F350 CC LB DRW that I did my 95 F250 SC LB.
I had an 04 CC 4x4 SB and now I have the same truck in a LB. The difference is very noticable and this big tank wheeks around town much easier than my 04.
Not only do the new 4X4s turn so much sharper, they do it with a full turn and a half less on the steering wheel. Do some tight right turns on your 04, then take a new one over the same drive, you will be impressed.
U-turns for me are generally allot more like three point turns. Other than that I'm really happy with the truck. When your driving down the road the truck rides and handles like a much smaller truck. You quickly learn how big it is when you try to manuever around a parking lot or make a U-turn! I do allot of plowing in the winter and am a bit affraid of how difficult thats going to be!
