175 years is a long time

That's how many years Dennis Rader will have to serve in prison before he is eligible for parole. He was known as the BTK Killer in Wichita, killing his first victim in 1974.

I understand, other prisoners do not like child killers in their population. Any more than they like child molesters. He is not going to last for long.

In my eyes, he should have gotten death and rid of right after sentencing.

guys who kill women or children should get the death penalty, automatically. all these sickos that just get off on killing people need to be permanently removed from the food chain.

two things, he will suffer far more just being in the general prison population than he would with the death penalty. And why dont we just follow the old rule do unto others as you would have others do unto you. only problem is we cant kill that ******* 20 times over.

The death penalty wasn't around in KS when he committed his crimes. Also, I don't know if he will ever make it to general population, the D.A. asked for a bunch of reccomndations that would keep him in solitary confinement for the rest of his life.

I think someone probably will take care of him if he is in general population (eliminating him right after sentencing would have worked also). Of course that wont make the victims families feel better. I also like to believe that his real punishment will begin the day he dies.

Some would call a death 'penalty' 'Cruel and Unusual Punishment' (don't think anyone could argue his quilt).
I'd say its common sense.
Pretty sad when our prison population has more sense than a lot of the citizens (and the rest us have to hope they do the job we can't, or won't). . .

Maybe we can't kill him 20 times over but I sure would love to try. He'll get his.

I don't think Dahmer was in "general population" - the way I read it, he was in the shower, supposed to be alone (being segrated from the general population) and they found him dead - I don't think they found the guy who did it.

Or if they did, he didn't care anyway...

He should be hanged at high noon in the center of Wichita where everyone can watch. But then I don't make the rules.
