Scotty's first ride

Yesterday, my 3 1/2 year-old grandson Scotty got his first ride in "Grampa's Truck" when we went to get a take out dinner. (His picture is my avatar).

"This is a cool truck" he said. "Can you make it go fast?"

Grandpa was glad to oblige...just chirped the rear tires thru the gears. The squeels of glee were exquisite. He is still talking about it.

Ain't life grand? I just can't wait to begin the wrench twisting together.

Swimingly swell today...

Good story Randy. I miss the days when my sons were little and I would take them to cruise-ins. Making memories is great fun! Jag

Thanks for the smiles Randy! The important things in life are free.

I took my 4 yr old granddaughter fishing for her first time last week. She was cool with everything including the worms, except for the waiting. "Grandpa, why won't my bobber go down?" Repeated at regular intervals during our 15 minute excursion. Then she was ready to go back to the shore so she could throw rocks in the lake. Life is good!

For FTE's sake I hauled the canoe to the lake on my '48 F1. That always turns a few heads too. She loves the old truck - her 1 1/2 yr old sister does too.

Way to go Randy!
Last fall when I got my Caddy fired up and rolled it around the block my 10 year old was with me (with his fingers stuffed in his ears because of the open exhaust). He had a huge grin on his face and tells all his buddies how we smoked the tires.

Its the little things in life.....
