Header Install

Im going to try a header install and im wondering what process I will have to use to get them in? Im sure Im going to have to remove alot of crap and probobly jack the motor a little. I know I tightened the bolts on my stock manifold and I could barely get the passenger side bolts!! the inner fenderwell was all in the way....Im thinking this could be a nightmare.

i made the stupid mistake of installing my headers in january, it took me 3 days because of the darn rust welded bolts, but once i got the bolts out it went pretty smooth.

I just did Hedman TEMS Hedders on my '95 5.8. I wouldn't call it a nightmare. Did it in about 6 1/2 hours with a lot of screwing around in the process....

You shouldn't have to jack up the engine any. Unhook the smog pump tubing on the pass. side to get access over there. What brand headers you have? My hedmans required a bit of "massaging" via a bodywork hammer on the #4 primary for the very back bolt.

The drivers side goes on without much if any difficulty, it's the limited space on the pass side that makes a PITA.
