i've been doing some reading and i have pretty bad surge. i live in the denver area and i drive at hi altitudes. i've heard that the ats housing is a better fix than the ww at altitude but i've never really heard a definate answer or comparison. opinions? i have a ww on order from one of the vendors here because i'm always inclined to go the cheapest route first, but i will get the ats housing if needed. mods: 4" turbo back, kwik filter, 6 pos dp-tuner, sonnax/tricumulator
I have the WW but stock fuel programming. The highest I've been is about 4200 feet on Snoqalmie pass grossing 23,000 lb since putting it in, and not a trace of stall/surge at all. It stalled terribly before, even at sea level pulling a hill with the load.

I second the Wicked Wheel idea, I live in Vail and pull the passes around here all the time. Had stall problems even with stock programming. Wicked Wheel fixed it, and it sounds quite interesting too. Kwik gave me great advice on the install and it went on fine, just took some time. Should be all you need. How do you like the DP Tuner chip? The EGT's I get with the Predator are frightening and Jody Tipton was my next step. How are the EGT's with his tunes? Thanks !!!
I went with the ATS housing way to fix my surge problem and am quite pleased with it. For those of you that went with the WW did you get the turbo balanced afterwards or was there no need for balancing after you put this on?
