Ford told me today that my turbocharger pedestal was missing two bolts. then I was told that the pedestal was warped. Our diesel store told me to have them replace the two bolts that had backed out along with the o-rings. I called Ford and asked them to do just that and then they informed me that the bolts had broken in the housing.

I guess the question is can that pedestal warp? Is this a sign that the turbo has been removed from the engine before?

Either way, Diesel Injection is going to do the turbo work. I just can't remember the last time I had read anything about things warping in that area.

They have been known to crack. I've not heard of one being warped.
