How Hot Do Differentials Usually Run?
While chasing down a running gear noise I was surprised to find my front differential was really hot to the touch as was the rear differential. Ambient temps were in the 80's and this was following an unloaded highway drive of 25 miles. These are Dana 28 differentials. Anyone know what the normal operating temperatures are for differentials?
