Floor Jack Fluid
Floor Jack Fluid
Over the years, my floor jack has peaked lower and lower -- any secrets to refilling with hydraulic fluid. Which I have heard is auto trans fluid (??).

Floor Jack Fluid
Most good auto stores sell hydraulic fluid JUST for jacks. i would not mix trans fluid with what is there now, seals may not be compatable with it!!

Floor Jack Fluid
I would stick with a fluid that is rated for jacks. I am not sure if there is much of a differance between jack fluid and hydraulic fluid. I do know that there are differances between trans fluid and hydraulic fluid. I agree with the above post that the fluids mixed could cause a problem with the seals. It would probably work but I would not do it. Good luck. Jake.
