Odd brake behaviour
1) When pressing the pedal, it starts a good retardation.
2) When continuing to increase the pedal pressure, the brake effect more or less goes away (or at least it feels like).
3) Still continuing to increase the pedal pressure, the brake effect comes back and gives a good stop.
* The rear brakes are properly adjusted.
* The pedal has a resonable hight(starts the retardation long before 1/3, and the pedal stops before 2/3 of travelling length)
* No yellow rabs light.
* No red brake light.
* The van may occationally pull a bit when the brakes are applied, but I guess thats another story, or maybe normal. Nothing scaring here.
* The rabs does its work on slippery surface.
* If rabs is deactivated, I get a very good stop but the rear weels may get blocked
* The pedal may perhaps have a slow return, not certain what's normal here. Doesn't feel like a problem.
Does anyone have any experience here?
Thanks!
Torstein
