Duals on a '92?

So...I have this '92 Bronco. 302, bone *** stock. Now, I'd love to run duals with Purple Hornies, Cherry Bombs, or the like, and have been reading a lot here on how to do it. What isn't clear to me, however, is what the easiest/cheapest way to do it is while staying emissions legal (thankfully I don't live in Cali anymore). Could I run true duals with one cat on each side? Should I somehow utilize the inlet pipes for the first cats? I'd love to just ditch them, but runnin illegal is more of a headache than I can deal with.

If only it were as easy as my last car... This is the first emissions controlled vehicle I've owned and the first one I've put any significant amount of time into, so please bear with me. Thanks in advance!

if ya want to stay emissions legal, you proboly will have to run a cat on each side, the cheapest i would have to guess would get the cats on ebay, you can get a Catco Catalytic Cat Converter, for around 35.00, and what mufflers ya decide to run off ebay then take them to a muffler shop and let them fun the pipe, all together ya might be out 300.00 for everything depending on which mufflers ya get, would be my guess anyway, unless you do all the work your self.. then it would be way cheaper.....lol but am sure someone more experienced in this area will be able to help ya out if i am wrong on any of it... as far as Should I somehow utilize the inlet pipes for the first cats, i havent a clue....lol but there is a set of purple hornies on ebay for 50.00 as well.. later.... hope i was a little bit of help to ya...

Hmm yes it was. I'd liked to have stayed under that kind of money...and I'm not going to wimp out pay just for sound. There has to be some kind of performance and/or gas mileage benefit to it too...
