Dash Cover
Just wanted to know if anyone has invested in one of those dash pad covers from JC Whitney. I would like to have your thoughts on them. Are they worth the money? Do they look nice? Do they sit flush on the dash? Anything else? Thanks Scott

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-Sep-02 AT 02:23 PM (EST)]Eric, I think Animal is referring to the covers not the pads. I bought a cover last winter (Ebay), thinking it was a pad. I said what the heck and installed it. I was really suprised how well it fit and how nice it looks. There is a spot where you can tell it's a cover...but you'd have to be looking up from the floor boards. Install is easy...I used some bunjees from the defrost vents to the bottom of the console to hold it with firm pressure untill the adhesive fully cures...I also stuffed a couple of old comforters up in the dash area to make sure there was a lot of downforce. The appearance isn't bad at all -nothing for a show truck, but cost wise it was $60 vs $200+, install was quite simple too. The only drawback I can see is that eventually the adhesive will give. It's silicone so it'll last quite a while, but can't withstand high dash baking heat forever.
