Intake manifo problems!!!
I'm repairing a98 F-150 with a 4.6 engine and I've run into a bit of a problem. This truck had a leaking head gasket. I've striped the engine down and put the heads in to be checked. When I went to pick the heads up today, I was told that one of the heads has to repaired. They told me that the antifreeze has corroded a small section by one of the intake holes. I looked at what they showed me and it doesn't look to bad to me. If I put some high heat RTV on this section with the new gasket, will this give me a good seal or should I bite the bullet and buy a rebuilt head or repair this one. My gut feels that the RTV will be OK but we are taking vaccume leaks here. Any help soonest would be great. Thanks in advance,
