Okay its fair to say that fuel has risen 100-150%(saw those figures somewhere) depending. Gas has to be refined and is tied to the price of crude oil. Well seems that oil has to be refined also. IE the oil we use in our engines.
I haven't changed oil in quite some time. Last time I did synthetic was about 20 bucks a gallon.
Is it going with gas also(Like I assume it should....) and I'll be paying between 40-60 bucks a gallon at the next change....
I don't believe engine oil is going up that much. I just use plain old Rotella T most of the time and it's gone from six something to a little under nine bucks a gallon.
Does anyone else not see the connection? The engine oil(your Rotella or my whatever)comes out of the same "expensive" barrel of oil yet only fuel is up greatly? Seems it would be boiling down to refineries.
And they keep saying supply and demand. I don't drive (demand) any more than I have in the last 20 years... Actually since I quit competitive shooting I drive quite a bit less on weekends.....
