Stupidest question winner...

I know I will win stupid question of the year with this...I have searched the formums but am still confused a little...anyway.

What is the difference between 4X4 and 4X2? I have a 1979 F250 with manual 4speed (Love that Granny !!) I have to get out and lock the hubs for 4 wheel drive and I have 4WD hi, 4WD Lo and 2WD options on my 4wheel drive shifter ...

What am I?

That is what some people call their 2wd. Some of the earlier 80s fords actually said 4x2 on the side marker. Im not sure if any of the others have done this.

Yes,

The terms mean:

4 wheels with 2 Wheel drive thus, 2x4

4 wheels with 4 wheel drive thus, 4x4

a 4x4 with open differentials can easily become a 4xzero if you're not careful. Had one high centered more than once. Kinda sucks.

When you are high centered, is when you need the 2x4(the lumber that is.)

Naw! That's a 1 1/2" x 3 1/2".

I once knew a 1000 Lb prostitute.

I referred to her as a 1/2 ton pickup.
