I don't know if it is the color or what, but i don't think it is in that great of condtion. Especially with that big gash along the side.
As for driving diestance, i drove about 1,000mi one way to pick up my '97 Aero with 55k mi, no rust, and very clean (until the drive home).
how do you like the 5 sp auto?
what gas mileage?
don't they cruise nice and smooth on freeway or long trip, a 1000 mile per day machine.

the wife's Honda doesn't start producing horses until it hits 5k rpm and the bore/stroke is about square. those dual overhead cams and Honda design plenum runners/injectors are efficient, they have years of experience.
my 4L Aero is ready to cough up a rod at 4000 rpm.
You might want to look again. The bumpers doesn't have a crack in them. The headliner no tears, same with the seats. The carpets are clean, around the windows on the inside it's not warped because water was leaking in........ About the scrape on the side, that just gives it character.
Now what was the one about a 97 Aerostar with supposingly only 55k miles.........
