C6 Tranny shift problems
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 02-Oct-02 AT 09:14 AM (EST)]I recently restored a 79 F-150 351M/C6 and it turned out great! Only problem now is the crappy carb, but that will be taken care of soon... My question is on the tranny, it started to hesitate shifting from 2nd to 3rd about a month ago. This I'm sure has no significance but I adjusted the timing and now the tranny won't shift into 3rd... It won't down shift into 1st when it's in drive and when I start in drive it won't shift to 2nd unless I move the shifter back to 2nd!!! I'm lost please help.
