6 Speed Possible

Hey there

I had a quick question, so far Ford Explorers got the new 6speed Transmission for 2006 so does the Lincoln Navigators. So will GM put in Ford Trucks a 6 speed automatics too in couple years or maybe sooner?

It's more than just the transmission. For 06 the Explorer gets the 3v 4.6 with 292hp. Why not put that in the 150 and bump the hp on the 5.4 to 330 or 340?

Surprisingly, there's half-truth to what he said. GM and Ford did collaberate on a 6-speed transmission that is going into various Ford models (as well as GM). Not the F-150, but in the cars. Surprised me when I read about it as I would never have guessed these two rivals would ever work together.
