Interior lights turning on
Need it for work tomorrow, so the battery is disconnected again.Could not risk the lights turning back on over night and having a dead battery.
You were right on with water getting to one of the switches. Took a couple of days to dry out in the garage and interior lights are back to normal. Now I have got to figure out which switch and where the water is entering. Appreciate the post.

As for finding where the water is getting in......well I would start with the rubber molding/gasket that goes around the door....but even more likely.... take a look at the rain gutter that is above the window at the edge of the roof on each side. See if you have a small stress crack at the rear most of the rain gutter, between where the cap and where the gutter starts. What you can do is search for cures here....or what I did a while ago was to use just a bit of clear silicone and seal it up.....worked perfect.
These are stress cracks and 90% of all the later models (80's-96 dont know about the older ones with the drastically different body style)will have them....some have it on one side and other have the problem on both sides.....some have it real bad and others not so bad.....you need to take a look at yours. Ford used to sell a "repair kit" to remedy the problem.....looked more like a temporary band-aid fix to me though....and Ford dont make them any more so it dont matter. The real fix is to weld in some sort of brace....or like add a roll cage or something?????
