Hello All. Here is the specifics of my trip. I went from Southeast Ohio to Myrtle Beach and back. Hauled a 500 pound motorcycle, about 20 cases of 24pack pop and about 30 suitcases, body board, and a box fan.
Truck is a stock 99.0 F250 PSD Auto 4x4 with topper on!! Average RPM's going down were 2058 to 2063. Mileage loaded going down traveling with A/C about half of the trip was 17.7mpg and average speeds were 68 to 70 cruise control 99% of the time. That was also a complete fill up before leaving using Diesel Kleen. Total down travel mileage as 596 miles.
Same load (and a little more) on the way home...speeds were a little faster (never above 75) RPM's were 2078 to 2108. Mileage was 571 miles back to the house. A/C was on the complete trip! Speed was mostly about 72 to 74 with cruise control 99% of the time. Just for fun, thought I would try no Diesel Kleen just to see if their was a difference....17.9mpg on the return trip.
All of the running around in Myrtle Beach made for a complete trip of 1,302 miles on the ole PSD and is was HEAVELY DRIVING!!!
Love Myrtle Beach. I won't make it there this year, but hope to next year. Glad that you had a great trip.
Rainy on Monday and Tuesday but over 100 on Wed, Thurs, and Fri. Had to be in the ocean or in a pool......HOTTER than blazes........but it was really good.
